R.I.P. NELSON MANDELA

Fashion News Outlet Magazine resume our periodic blog posts with a story of a man who requires no introduction; Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. The recent announcement of his death moments before the tenth hour of last night left the world in awe and disbelief. This feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear/wonder brought a nation to their knees and the entire world to terms of the loss of one of it’s greatest leaders. Aged 95, this would be the only shortcoming the admirable Nelson Mandela could ever be accused of; with only five year until reaching the century mark, the former South African president and Nelson Mandela has left us… with his legacy; R.I.P.

We commemorate the acts of the late South African president and hero and urge you to take a moment to reflect on your life and assess your accomplishments. Will you leave a lasting legacy? As the South African’s mourn and celebrate the lost of one of the worlds greatest leaders, we urge you to take note; we have lived another day, so why not do something meaningful to make the world proud. Here are a few inspirational quotes from the late nelson Mandela that our team thought we would leave you with. Have a read and share this post if you have been inspired.

“When people are determined they can overcome anything.”

(Johannesburg, South Africa, Nov. 14, 2006)

“Difficulties break some men but make others.”

(From a letter to wife, Winnie Mandela, from Robben Island, February 1975)

“Real leaders must be ready to sacrifice all for the freedom of their people.”

(Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa, April 25, 1998)

“It is never my custom to use words lightly. If twenty-seven years in prison have done anything to us, it was to use the silence of solitude to make us understand how precious words are and how real speech is in its impact on the way people live and die.”

(South Africa, July 14, 2000)
